The stand itself is fantastic, but, the company they ship with FEDEX or the company that packs it wrecked the box, scratched the frame and lost one of the S hooks... I've called them twice to let them know about this and twice they have told me they are looking into it and letting me know what they can do to help me, making sure of my happiness in the product, I have yet to get a call back. The stand itself is sturdy and just what I wanted, just sans scratches and missing pieces.

Fantastic product-fantastic quality-arrived super quick-very heavy we are glad we opted for the wheel set to navigate the hammock around the yard, do not expect to be able to go this once it is in place- a excellent thing-no one is flipping over or out of it. We bought it with the hammock and two of us can be on it at the same time. We like it so much we are getting another set-with wheels of course!

I bought this stand and the Strathford quilted hammock to hang on it. It is huge, but so is my husband! He's 6'4" and about 290#. We relaxed in our hammock all weekend long in sweet bliss. I found a $4 pillow at IKEA and later napped on it with my 3 dogs. My husband says buying it is the best thought I've ever had! Very pleased customer..

I was looking at the tri-beam stand from Pawley's Island and noticed this one. This one just as excellent at half the price. It does not come with chains, only the hammocks come with chains. It took about 5 minutes to assemble. I will buy from Ewins again.

It is constructed from 2 diameter 12 gauge heavy duty steel and has a 600 pound weight limit. The critical elbow joint is made using the 360-degree Right Connection superior welding process. This weld joint has been rigorously tested and has been found to be the strongest available. The installed spring pins prevent unintentional disassembly of the stand yet allow it to be easily taken apart for storage or transportation. The stand is coated with the Cape Shield finishing process only from Hatteras Hammocks. Cape Shield is a special process of cleaning, preparing, and powder coating the stand to make it weather resistant and give you many years of enjoyment. Buy this! I got this for my husband for his birthday and he likes it. He really place it up in our basement (to watch TV!) until it was warm enough to take it outside. Highly recommended. It is sturdy and a bit heavy but at long as you buy the wheels, it's simple to go. I got the hammock itself at The Home Depot in the fall for about $30. Wait for the end of season sale for that part.

After reading the reviews from other people, I wasn't sure if the hammock stand would come intact. It did. The box had no marks or tears and the stand was not scrathed in any way. It was very simple to assemble- it only took 5 miutes! We have been using this since we bought it without any problems or complaints. I would recommend it to anyone plotting on purchasing a hammock stand. You will not regret purchasing this one.

The stand is very sturdy and literally snaps together. It is heavy. The stand consists of two 'feet' - shorter tubes with a connecting cross piece in a 'v' that the longer tubes snap into and secure with a spring-loaded button. The tubes fit loosely so that the end piece will wiggle back and forth. I believe this is a feature though. It allows the stand to be place together and taken apart easily. When there is weight pressing down on the ends of the stand, the tubes do not wiggle.

The product would be at four stars except that the box that the stand arrived in was blown out on one end and whatever packaging was supposed to keep the tubes secured and protected had failed. The tubes were essentially loose in the box. As a result, there was some minor scratching of the stand. Given the state the box and packaging was in when it arrived, I expected more hurt. It wasn't enough for me to bother with trying to return it.

The Pawleys Island Tri-Beam textured steel hammock stand was worth every cent of the pruchase. I researched a lot of stands and found this to be the best deal for its price. The delivery of the item was fine. No hurt as was reported in the past. The assembly was so simple! NO screwdrivers, hammers or even a man needed! The appearance was fantastic. Nice lines and a fine deep green color with a bit of texture to the poles. As far as weight bearing, I have had over 300 lbs of people piled on our hammock and felt no worries. A truly fine buy.

I was a small nervous ordering this item as I read reviews that said the box is very hurt when it arrives. It arrived in perfect condition, no hurt to box whatever. It is so well made it should last for quite a long time. My husband is not very handy, but for him, putting it together was a piece of cake. One, two, three, and it was together and ready to hang our Pawley's Island Hammock. Two people can certainly go it to another spot if needed. I highly recommend this stand, trust me it is just perfect!
